Terms and conditions
Last updated 11 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and ZestDeck Limited ("we", "us"), which runs Accretion. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them. Please read them; they are meant to be plain.
ZestDeck Limited is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13930812; its registered office is on the Companies House register.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 13 to play. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian, including for the subscription.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Give us a real email address that you can read: we use it to verify your account and to tell you important things about the service.
2. What it costs
- Every new account gets its first 30 days free. After that, Accretion costs $2 a month, as a subscription. There is nothing else to pay for: nothing in the game is sold for money.
- You subscribe from the game or from your profile. If you subscribe while your free time is still running, the first payment is taken when it ends, and nothing before. Each payment covers the month that follows; while a payment is being retried you keep playing for a few days.
- You can cancel at any time from your profile. Nothing more is charged, the time you have paid for is yours to the end, and you can subscribe again whenever you like.
- When your time runs out, you need a subscription to carry on playing. Your account and your progress are kept, and you can still sign in to see your account and subscribe.
- The price exists only to cover the cost of running the service. We do not sell the game's currency, items or advantages, and we will not.
- Prices are in US dollars and include any tax we must charge. We will tell you before a price changes, and a change never affects time you have already paid for.
- Payments are taken by our payment provider, PayPal, with a PayPal account or a card. All of your payment information is held by PayPal; none of it is stored on our systems.
3. HX and refunds
- HX is the game's currency. It is earned in the game and never sold. It has no value outside the game: it cannot be exchanged for money, transferred out of the game or sold, and it is not your property.
- Accretion is a game of risk. What you lose in the game, ships and cargo and HX included, is lost; we do not restore in-game losses, and nobody can buy their way back.
- A subscription payment covers the month that follows it. Once that month has begun, you agree that the right to cancel the payment ends, as the law allows for digital services supplied at once; cancelling stops the renewals instead. This does not affect your other legal rights, and we will refund a payment taken in error.
- If a payment is reversed or charged back, we remove the time it bought, and may suspend the account while we look into it.
4. Playing fairly
Do not:
- cheat, use bots or automation, or exploit bugs, and tell us about a bug you find rather than using it;
- buy, sell or trade HX, items or accounts for real money or anything outside the game;
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, or send unlawful or hateful content in mail or names;
- attack, overload or try to get into our systems or other players' accounts.
If you do, we may remove what you gained, suspend your account or close it. Where we can, we will tell you why.
5. The service
- Accretion is in player testing: it is still being built. Things will change, and some will break. We may change, add or remove parts of the game.
- We aim to keep the game running, but we cannot promise it will always be available. There is a short downtime every day for maintenance, and there may be others.
- You may stop playing at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy). Time you have paid for is not refunded when you leave, except as section 3 says.
6. Security and our responsibility
- We take reasonable care to keep the service and your information secure. No system is perfectly secure, though, and to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss caused by hacking, data breaches or other attacks on our systems or our providers', or by anyone using your account with your password.
- The game is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of in-game items, HX or progress, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer.
7. Changes and the law
- If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the game before the change takes effect. Playing after that means you accept the new terms.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute; if you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of your local consumer law and may use your local courts.
